My husband recently gave me this option:
a last minute, quick get-a-way or new furniture?
I dream about getting out of this stinkin' hell hole for a bit
BUT
our putrid and stained furniture dates back to Abraham Lincoln!
I did not think this would be such a hard choice...

I say choose the trip! memories are irreplacable! our kiddos are just gonna thrash new furniture anyway! this is why we just got home from a vacation :) it made a great difference getting a break! good luck!
